The façade of this home is deceiving. Despite the East Coast Traditional-meets-Southern Colonial architecture, the listing, maintained by high-end specialists Josh and Matt Altman of the Altman Brothers Team at Douglas Elliman, claims that the interior has been drastically eroticized with “premier craftsmanship… and the finest materials.” The custom quartz staircase, “floating” bookcases, exposed brick walls, and herringbone hardwood flooring are only the beginning.

Calvin Harris, a wealthy DJ, footed the bill for the costly improvements. When he bought the then-new compound in 2014, it was drab and basic. However, significant advances changed that. Harris can afford it because he made $110 mιllιon in 2013 and 2014 and $129 mιllιon in 2015 and 2016.

Benedict Canyon, a five-building estate on the steep foothills above Beverly Hills, is concealed by massive gates, dense trees, and a lengthy driveway. The main home has four bedrooms and a two-story guesthouse with two recording studios. The property features a security facility for a full-time escort, a detached five-car garage connected to an upstairs movie theater, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

Magnificent eucalyptus trees provide shade for the expansive outdoor pool. According to the description, the “entertainer’s dream” backyard features a custom pergola with a BBQ center, a sports court, and an outdoor lounge with a fireplace. The hillside property features a solar dome and numerous gardens.

Harris paid $15 mιllιon for the estate eight years ago, so if he receives anything close to his $25 mιllιon asking price, he will undoubtedly be a winner, despite the costly renovations. The 38-year-old Scottish DJ has had some real estate misfortune despite his musical talent. He lost more than $500,000 on the sale of his Brentwood property, and he barely broke even on two Hollywood Hills estates, one near Bird Streets and one recently sold to Charli XCX.

Harris, whose birth name is Adam Wiles, recently purchased “the largest organic farm in all of Ibiza” on the Spanish island of Ibiza. The Harris estate employs an armada of farmers and chefs to produce eggs, wine, vegetables, and farm-to-table meals.

Harris has a vacant lot worth $13.8 mιllιon in the highlands of Bel Air, but it is unknown if he will remain in Los Angeles after selling the 90210 residence.
