Desserts that come in single servings are my favorite. They are usually pretty quick and easy to make, and they offer me just the right amount of sweetness to kill my cravings without having to eat leftovers the rest of the week, which can be quite a hassle.

One of my favorite single-serving quick fixes are these quesadillas with peanut butter and bananas because they are so warm, gooey, and delicious. In addition, I have the necessary ingredients in my pantry most of the time.

This is a figurative use of the word quesadilla. This dessert “quesadilla” does not contain cheese.

Quesadillas with Peanut Butter and Bananas: What’s Inside?

A quesadilla is made with peanut butter and sliced bananas, of course, but also with chocolate chips that melt all melty and delicious while cooking.Added to that is slightly salty peanut butter and a crispy tortilla, bringing a little more sweetness and softness to the banana. There really isn’t anything better than this.

Does Anything Else Need to be Added?

As you can imagine, this quick dessert can be customized quite easily. If you have any of these things on hand, you can add them to your “quesadilla”:

  • Cinnamon
  • Honey (in place of the chocolate chips)
  • Strawberry or raspberry jam
  • Almond butter (in place of the peanut butter)
  • Ground flaxseed
