Ingredients
- 8 oz. sour cream ($1.69)
- 1 lime ($0.19)

- 1/4 tsp salt ($0.02)
Instructions
- You will need to zest the lime and squeeze the juice into a small bowl

Note: Depending on your personal preference, you can adjust the proportions of these ingredients to your liking. You can add more or less lime zest, lime juice, or salt as you see fit.

Step by Step Photos
As a first step, zest the lime and strain the juice into a small bowl. You will need about one teaspoon of zest and one tablespoon of juice from the lime.
In an 8 oz. container of sour cream, combine 1 tsp zest, 1 tbsp lime juice, 1 small clove of minced garlic, and 1/4 tsp salt.
With a wooden spoon, combine sour cream, white vinegar, zest, lime juice, and minced garlic. Stir to combine well, then use immediately or refrigerate until needed.
In truth, I usually prepare my lime crema just before I begin cooking in order to allow the flavors to infused into the cream at the same time as cooking, but I can confirm that it remains super tasty just after mixing it (I always have a hard time staying away from licking the spoon).
