The Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster, dubbed “the world’s fastest and most powerful convertible,” cost $3.5 mιllιon to be purchased by Michael Jordan. According to Robb Report, Jordan, a professional athlete, owns one of just 30 supercars worldwide.
“Today was a special day,” Hennessey Performance tweeted, alongside a photo of CEO John Hennessey with Jordan and his new vehicle at Grove XXIII, the Hall of Famer’s Florida golf club. “It was an honor to create a custom Venom F5 for a special friend.”
The Venom F5 Roadster, debuted almost a year ago, boasts a carbon-fiber bоdy with yellow pinstriping.
In late 2022, there were only 24 Venom F5 coupes produced, making the convertible less rare. The Venom F5 Roadster costs $3 million, whereas the coupe is only $2.1 million because of increased production.
Front Office Sports reports that Jordan’s licensing deal with Nike brought in $256 million last year, and his Jordan Brand generated $5.9 billion. Along with Bubba Watson and Tyler Reddick, he is a co-owner of 23XI NASCAR.
With a seven-speed, single-clutch, semi-automatic transmission, the Venom F5’s mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V8 engine produces 1,817 horsepower and 1,193 pound-feet of torque.
The front of the roadster shares a lot of characteristics with the coupe, but an 18-pound top panel made of carbon fiber is detachable. The F5 now weights 3,100 pounds instead of 2,999 pounds without a canopy.
The back includes new tempered glass that can withstand temperatures over 1,050 degrees Fahrenheit so that you can see the strong engine behind the passenger compartment.
